At the beginning of August 2023 we carried out a unique operation at the site of the Temelín Nuclear Power Station.
We performed the pipeline shut-off of a small DN25 pipe with the atypical dimensions of 31.8 x 2.5mm. Demi water was flowing through the pipe at a pressure of several bars. We utilized our COMPACT-F1 multi-purpose drilling kit configured for a pipeline shut-off using a “spike” technique. Due to the considerable safety precautions required, we opted for a double line stopping with separate ventilation of the intermediate space. The operation went perfectly smoothly, with not a single drop of water lost.
