Low-pressure ballooning without media leakage
The NBF-2 set is a system designed for temporary, leak-free interruption of gas flow in pipelines. The device is attached to the pipeline via a welded 2.5" ballooning nozzle (fitting), onto whose external thread a plate valve is screwed. Through this valve, the pipeline is subsequently drilled using commonly available drilling equipment. This is followed by the installation of the insertion chamber with shut-off flaps and balloon guidance, after which the insertion chambers for the balloons are installed.
A major advantage of this device is that there is no need to deburr the drilled pipeline.
Technical parameters:
Material of shut-off pipeline: steel, PE (other materials upon consultation with the manufacturer)
Media in the shut-off pipeline: Natural gas according to ČSN EN ISO 13686, natural gas with a maximum of 20% hydrogen content (other media upon consultation with the manufacturer)
Shut-off pipeline – steel (DN): 80–300 mm
Shut-off pipeline – plastic (d): 90–315 mm
Maximum shut-off pressure in the pipeline: 0.00–0.05 bar
Balloon inflation pressure: up to 0.8 bar
Operating temperature: +5 to +50 °C
Weight of installed device: 18 kg
