As part of practical training, we used our low-pressure ballooning device NBF-2 to carry out an intervention on a steel DN100 pipeline in the basement of a residential building.
The NBF-2 device enables safe and leak-free isolation of pipelines during work on gas distribution networks, which is crucial especially in residential areas where it is necessary to minimize any impact on customers.
The aim of the operation was to relocate the main gas shut-off valve (HUP) outside the building without the need to interrupt gas supply. Thanks to the ballooning technology, the pipeline was safely isolated and the work proceeded smoothly under full operation.
The intervention took place in confined basement conditions, where emphasis is placed on precision, safety, and coordination of individual steps. The properly selected technology enabled efficient execution of the entire operation.
The project was carried out in cooperation with LBtech.
