FASTRA supported Musical Theatre for Children
For more than twenty years now Hudební divadlo dětem (Musical Theatre for Children) (www.divadlodetem.cz) has been creating and performing musical theatre shows for elementary and nursery school children as well as for the general public in theatres all over the Czech Republic.
Thanks to our partners, such as FASTRA, s. r. o., not only have we managed to keep going and putting on shows during these difficult times, but we have also created an online theatre platform (www.divadlodomu.cz), which is used by collectives in quarantine or in schools in response to the Covid restrictions, and which enabled us to treat dozens of children's homes and homes for the elderly to a theatrical experience in the period of isolation.
We have also adapted and performed a new musical based on J. Čapek’s fairy tales called “Singing about a Dog and a Cat”, which was premiered at the end of the year. We are now preparing “live” performances in various towns and cities and are looking forward to returning to the theatre in Kolín soon.
Once again, thank you for your support, without which we would hardly be able to continue working to promote culture for children.
