Stoppling PE d400 a OC DN350
This article was created as a result of an extraordinary project completed in March of this year. This work was part of the Rezidence Parková development project executed by CENTRAL GROUP, a.s., with FASTRA, s.r.o. and VTslužby s.r.o. working on this part of the project. The work involved the full closure of a gas pipeline on Malešická Street in the borough of Prague 3. The gas pipeline itself is a steel DN350 pipe, which transitions into a PE d400 pipe. The work was conducted on the section from Basilejské náměstí Square to Jilmová Street and was divided into two separate work zones approximately 300 m apart. The full scope of the work was closure of the gas pipeline with a full PE D400 bypass in both work zones and subsequent connection of the main gas pipeline to the already laid and prepared new PE pipeline. The scope and sizes of the bypasses made this project extraordinarily demanding in terms of technology and manpower. The closure of the gas pipeline had to be completed in a single day. FASTRA supplied STOPL-S-F1 stoppling devices to shut off the pipeline.
