GasNet Day 2026: Connecting Theory, Practice and Future Career Opportunities

Even with a slight time delay, it would be a pity not to mention our participation in the GasNet Day 2026 event, which took place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Secondary Vocational School of Gas Engineering in Pardubice.

This was already the 5th edition of this professional educational event organized by GasNet, aimed primarily at students and teachers from technical schools. Students and teachers from the Secondary School of Chemical Technology in Pardubice and the Secondary School of Crafts in Šumperk also accepted the invitation.

The aim of the event was to introduce students to real-life practice in the gas industry, present modern technologies used in the field, and connect theoretical education with hands-on demonstrations in real working conditions.

Practical demonstrations of technologies and field operations

The program included thirteen expert stations where participants could not only observe but also try out various technologies and work procedures used in the operation and maintenance of gas pipeline networks.

Particular interest was drawn to demonstrations such as:

  • pipeline stoppling using, among others, our FASTRA technology,
  • gas pipeline route locating,
  • gas leak detection,
  • gas odorization,
  • gas meter operation,
  • demonstrations of emergency response vehicles and procedures,
  • first aid training.

Thanks to cooperation with the neighboring Secondary School of Chemical Technology, the program was also enriched with demonstrations by firefighters and chemists.

Company presentation and career opportunities

Our participation in the event also focused on presenting our company to students as a potential future career path. We had the opportunity to introduce young people to our everyday practice, showcase the technologies we work with, and present employment opportunities in the technical field after graduation.

The event also included discussions with HR specialists and industry professionals, helping students better understand the realities of working life and future career opportunities.

Events such as GasNet Day are highly valuable not only for developing students’ technical skills, but also for connecting education with real-world practice and modern technologies.

We would like to thank GasNet for the invitation and the opportunity to be part of this meaningful event.
