Work on a high-pressure gas pipeline DN300 in Prague without interrupting gas supply

In Prague, we carried out quadruple line stopping (isolating the pipeline under pressure) on a high-pressure gas pipeline DN300 with an operating pressure of 23 bar.
The works were divided into two working sections, where double-sided line stopping was performed on each of them, followed by the construction of a DN150 bypass to ensure continuous gas supply during execution. Both a welded steel bypass and the PRIMUS LINE hose system were used within the works.
The combination of these technological solutions enabled a safe execution of the intervention and subsequent replacement of the original pipeline with a new one, while maintaining the operation of the gas network without interrupting the medium supply.
This project once again confirmed the capabilities of modern technologies based on proprietary equipment developed and manufactured by FASTRA, designed for work on gas pipelines and other pressurized product pipelines. Thanks to their use in combination with our team’s experience, even highly demanding interventions in complex operating conditions can be carried out safely and efficiently, where maintaining flow continuity is critical.
