Hermetic line stopping on gas pipeline DN500 in Poland – Ruda Śląska

In cooperation with Gascontrol Polska, we carried out a technically demanding project in the city of Ruda Śląska, Poland. The work involved hermetic line stopping on a DN500 PN16 gas pipeline with the construction of a DN300 bypass (9 bar), required due to a planned relocation of the gas pipeline route in connection with the construction of new road infrastructure.

The aim of the entire operation was to ensure that the modifications could be carried out without interrupting gas supply to end customers. Thanks to the chosen technological procedure and careful coordination of the works, full operational continuity was maintained throughout the intervention.

The works were carried out from Tuesday to Thursday, including evening and night shifts, which placed high demands on the entire execution team. The project was both organisationally and technically challenging; however, all situations that arose were handled operatively and efficiently directly on site.

The complexity of the intervention was determined not only by the technical solution but also by the requirement for maximum precision and safety of execution.

Such projects clearly confirm that professional cooperation and an experienced team are the key to success. It is in these situations that it becomes evident that joint effort can manage even highly complex interventions without any restrictions to supply for end customers.

At the same time, we would like to thank our partners for their trust and cooperation in the implementation of this project.
