SymGas 2026

SymGas is a traditional professional conference focused on the technical and practical aspects of operation, maintenance, and development of gas infrastructure. It offers participants the opportunity to share experience and gain up-to-date technical knowledge. The conference connects experts from across the gas industry – from maintenance workers and inspection technicians to designers and representatives of public administration.

Supporting young talent in the energy sector
Gasman of the Year is an international secondary school competition in which two-member student teams compete in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the gas industry. The final will take place on March 25–26, 2026, at the Building Fair in Brno, where the competition is part of the Czech national championship of vocational students “Masters of Everyday Life.”
The general partner of the competition is the GasNet Group, which has long supported the development of gas industry professions and promotes study and career opportunities in the field.
FASTRA also contributes to the event by providing small awards for talented participants and actively supports the involvement of young professionals in the energy sector. Josef Nádvorník from FASTRA will serve as a competition commissioner, contributing his expertise to the objective evaluation of performances.
The competition offers students interested in technical fields a unique opportunity to learn more about career prospects in the gas industry, meet industry professionals, and try practical tasks reflecting real working situations.
