A new dimension to high-pressure line stopping at FASTRA
The new STOPL-S4-F1 DN350 PN40 saw its grand première this summer near Vysoké Mýto on the construction of the D35 motorway near Homole hill.
The weather was just right for the christening, sprinkling us with heavy rain on both days of the work.
The construction site turned into one huge deep mud bath. But the technique was a success, the equipment worked perfectly and the closure of the pipe at a pressure of 23 bar went without a hitch.
The hydraulically controlled STOPL with its balloon plug created a safe space for cutting the old pipe and welding in the new high-pressure gas pipe overlay.
We believe that this new equipment will once again be a big step forward for us.
