Stacking of fire water in Temelín Nuclear Power Plant

In the last quarter of 2024, we were able to carry out very interesting work in a prestigious location The Temelín Nuclear Power Plant.
Stoplining work was carried out on a fire water pipe that required replacement.

The specific feature of the pipeline route is that the water flow is maintained even in the event of a fire, during which the pressure rises significantly up to 12 bar thanks to the start of the pumps.

In order to ensure uninterrupted water flow, we used for the first time a high-capacity bypass hose DN150 of the PRIMUS LINE system from HOMOLA, a.s.

This solution enables the creation of a bypass that does not need to be welded and generates no waste when it is disposed of, making it far more environmentally friendly.

The equipment was installed throughout the reconstruction works on the section to be replaced. Thus, the total time of the installation was calculated to be more than a week.

The STOPL-S-F1 proved once again that it is capable of closing even pipes with large incrustations, not only thanks to the sealing element system, but also of working for long periods of time and is resistant to hydraulic shocks.

At the same time, it has proven its functionality in sealing water and other liquids. Installation in such a specific location, with high demands not only on the designers but also on the entire power company, requires a high level of professionalism, which is standard for our company FASTRA.
